University Network Directory and the use of Lookup
University Telephone Network Directory - Ordering your directories
Departments and Institutions wishing to order copies of the 2010 Directory should complete the official order form and return with a Purchase Order made out to University Computing Service.
The Telephone Replacement Project is now completed with the migration of some 15,500 phones to the new VoIP system. As part of this exercise, there has been a fundamental change as to how information on extension users is held and retrieved.
As you will be aware the Directory is divided into two main sections; the Institutional entries which have previously been produced from individual Word files updated by institutional representatives and the Extension User index produced from the on-line directory system held by the Telecomms Office. This year all information for the printed directory will be taken from the University Lookup directory service (www.cam.ac.uk/cs/lookup).
The purpose of these pages are to explain how each element of Lookup should be amended in preparation for the publication of the new Directory. The instructions will be divided into Institutional entries and Individual entries.
